LEFT OF DAYTON

Internet Tax Freedom Act Amendments Act of 2007/HR 743 | October 23, 2007

10/24/07 UPDATE:

I received a call this A.M. from Congressman Turner’s office clarifying the question raised below. The Congressman does, in fact, support keeping the Internet Tax Free and his nay vote was made in ERROR. According to his aide, Congressman Turner “corrected” his mistake the next day. Solves that “mystery”…

On Oct 16, the House passed legislation that would extend the moratorium on Internet access taxes through November 2011. Congressman Mike Turner, R-3 OH, was on the losing end of the 405-2 vote. It’s gotta make you wonder, WHY? Why be only one of two Congressman casting a Nay vote? Does the Congressman have a hidden agenda?? I am eagerly awaiting a response to my email about this vote.
